RODEO SEASON COMING UP
FAST
The first rodeo of the
2010 season will be on Febuary 26th & 27th in
Gonzales. It is the first Benefit rodeo of the season. To rejoin TYRA,
you will need to send in your $60.00 membership dues by January 15, 2010
along with a membership application, copy of birth certificate and
recent photo. In the past returning members have been able to simply
mail in the $60. This year I am asking that you send the required
documentation along with the fee. If you have a “Graduating Senior”
this year, please mark that box on the membership application. There
will be a $25.00 late fee if paid after January 15th.
2010 RODEO SCHEDULE
Enclosed is the 2010 rodeo schedule. Please keep
in mind that this is a tentative schedule. All dates are subject to
change. TYRA introduced a new scheduling concept last
year in an effort to help families save money in these troubling times
of our struggling economy. We tried to combine rodeos held in the same
location into one weekend whenever possible. We kept the same concept
this year due to the popularity of it. However, there is one change.
You may only compete in 10 of the 20 sanctioned rodeos plus the
two benefit rodeos. There will be no jackpot only available

FINALS RODEO
The 2010 Finals Rodeo
will be held starting on July 27th and ending with the awards
ceremony on July 31st, 2010 in Gonzales, TX. Tod Slone saddles and Hy-O
Silver buckles will be awarded!

FUND RAISER
Members will be required to sell $200 per
family in raffle tickets this year. Tickets will be $10 each. Prizes
for the raffle tickets are needed! If you have any items to donate,
please contact Sherry Pietsch at
sherrypietsch@yahoo.com
by January 15th. Deadline for turning in money for raffle tickets
is April 5th.
If not turned in by this
date you will not
be eligible to compete
in any more rodeos
until it is turned in.
No exceptions will be made, so don’t ask! Any additional money you
raise may be mailed to me or brought to the second benefit on April 30th
& May 1st. Money received after June 30th will not count
towards any incentives or awards.

Boys!
Will be held at the two benefit rodeos and the finals
only!
Accumulate points just like all other events and win a saddle for first
and a buckle for reserve for the year end! (Ties will be broken.)
