I would like to thank you for the many years that
you have served the TYRA as president. I have been
involved with the association since 1959 or 1960,
it's been so long I'm not sure which year. My kids
have been going to TYRA's since 1993 or 1994. We
have never missed one in those years. I know that it
is a tough job and you probably get more critics
then thanks. The hours you and your board spend to
put on these rodeos are many and a lot of the TYRA
family can't even imagine the time it takes. But
coming from a dad that was in your shoes back in the
70's I do understand. You have done a great job and
have been one of the most conscientious Presidents
that I know. You have always wanted the best for the
association no matter what.
We have one more TYRA rodeo to attend which is
the Finals and we are through competing in them
because we are graduating, but I hope I will still
have some kids that will need my assistance in the
steer wrestling and I can still help. We have also
been members of several other youth associations
which I would rather not mention but my family still
is totally in agreement that the best youth
organization is still the TYRA.
I know I can not thank you enough for all the
griping you have to take when something goes wrong ,
but I wanted to tell you that the good you and the
board has done done out ways any gripes someone
might have 1000 to 1 or more.
Again I would like to thank you and your board
personally for everything that ya'll have done for
the kids. I hope you will get this thank you posted
on the web-site so people will realize what you go
through
