ENTRY DEADLINE:  MAY 19, 2008 (postmarked—by post office)

Entries will be accepted after MARCH 19TH, with a $20 late fee if in the secretary’s hands by 6:00 p.m. MAY 26TH , 2008.  All entries received after the deadline will be returned.

 

1.        This is a 1- Go jackpot rodeo.  There is one performance on Saturday, MAY 24TH , starting at 9 a.m at the Crescent, Wharton County Youth Fairgrounds located between El Campo and Wharton at the intersection of County Roads 960 and 961.

2.       You may confirm receipt of entry by sending a self-addressed, stamped postcard with your entry.  Make sure you have confirmed your entry with the returned card, or a call prior to the deadlines.  After the deadlines, it is too late.  

3.       Make checks payable to CRC.  Money must accompany entry blanks or it will not be accepted.  Absolutely no refunds.  All returned checks will have a $25 service charge and all debts MUST be cleared before contestant competes.

4.       All TYRA rules will be enforced.  (Hats not required.  All other attire will be in accordance with TYRA rules.)

5.       Anyone riding the same horse and needing to be split, please note on your entry.

6.       All decisions of the arena director and flagman are final.

7.       A contestant must be a paid member in TYRA or reside in Wharton County.  Local Non-TYRA contestants must have a notarized release form.

8.       All Horses must have an original, current COGGINS to compete.  TAHC checks Wharton County Fairground shows regularly.

9.       Fairground Office information number is (979) 677-3350 if securing a stall or coming up on Friday.  This facility is unlocked 2 hours before and locked  1 hour after each show has completed.

10.     Be sure to coordinate with your partners.  NO Changes will be made after deadline.

11.      Only one office charge per family.

12.     Courtesy runners and ropers will be drawn according to TYRA rules.  Please do not request a certain courtesy partner.

13.     NO DOGS or other PETS allowed in arena area.  This is a TYRA rule and it will be enforced.

14.     Tentative Order of Events:  Rough Stock,  Figure 8, Cloverleaf, Poles,  Goats, Steer wrestling, Ribbons, Breakaway, Tiedown, & Team Roping.

15.  Motels in area:  Best Western (El Campo) 979-543-7033, Shoney’s Inn (El Campo) 979-543-1666,  and El Campo Inn (El Campo) 979-543-1110,  Paradise Hunting Lodge 979-543-6761.
