DEADLINE: Entry must be postmarked by March 17th  - Late Entries will be accepted if in secretaries hand no later than March 24th. All entries post marked after  March 17th will be returned unopened!!!

This is a TYRA approved rodeo and is sponsored by the Matagorda County Youth Rodeo Association. TYRA rules will be enforced in all events. This will be a one go round jackpot rodeo.

1.                  The rodeo will be held at the Matagorda County fairgrounds, Bay City, Texas. Stalls will be available for $10.00 and RV will be for $20.00 each. Please mark your entry.

2.                  A contestant must be a paid member in TYRA. Local non-TYRA members must have a notarized release form.          

3.                  Entry fees: Check, Money order or cashier checks made payable to Matagorda County Youth Rodeo Association must accompany your entry. No Refunds or changes after deadline date of March 24th.

4.                  No hats required at any time.

5.                  All decisions by the judges and arena director will be final unless otherwise ruled by the TYRA directors.

6.                  The back gate will be open in all roping events.

7.                  Each event will be completed before the next one is started.

8.                  If you find it necessary to call before March 29th, you may call 979-244-5238 before 9 p.m. and leave a message I will return your call collect.

9.                  If contestants are riding the same horse and need to be split on the program it is your responsibility to note it on your entry.

10.              No pets, scooters, tricycles, skates, bicycles, etc will be allowed inside the rodeo barn-absolutely no exceptions.

Effective January 1, 1997, a negative Coggins test will be required by law to enter any horse event, show, rodeo, etc. It is the contestant’s responsibility to have the negative test results available at all rodeos for inspection ( must be an original, no copies will be accepted.) Random checks will be made by the Texas Animal health Commission. Not having the test papers will result in the contestant being disqualified and the possibility of your animal being quarantined.
