January 2013
I
would like to congratulate all the winners from the
2012 Finals and Year-End.
We had another successful year full of fun.
I know so many of us are involved in Junior
High and High School rodeo and hope everyone is
meeting their goals.
For those younger than that, don’t worry TYRA
will be starting before we know it.
The
membership packages are being sent out, returning
members remember your membership form is due by
January 15, 2013.
Along with your completed form and $60
membership fee, please send in a copy of your
current coggins papers for our files.
Also, if you have your first semester report
card send it in as well.
TYRA
is excited for the 2013 Rodeo Season, we will be
changing the benefits to try and prepare our
contestants for a long go and short go.
You will be able to decide which performance
you will ride in during the long go (Friday or
Saturday), then we will take the top 12 to the short
go on Sunday.
Not only can you win jackpot money in the
long go, short go and average you can also be
rewarded with points.
There will be 300 points in each event
available.
100 points in long go, 100 points in short go
and 100 points in the average.
New for this year we will be adding $5,000 to
each of the benefits for added money.
Remember the Board of Directors is here to assist
you in any way we can or try to find someone who
can.
TYRA is a great organization to help the kids enjoy
the sport of rodeo and we will strive to continue
providing the opportunity for kids to compete.
Parents, I would like to thank all the volunteer and
help.
Whether it is at the individual rodeos, the benefits
or at the Finals, it is greatly appreciated.
For those who do not volunteer, I encourage
you to pitch in and help.
It is enjoyable and fun helping the kids.
The reward may be as simple as a smile on
their face as the exit the arena after competing or
they may personally say Thank You for your
contribution.
The Clubs and the Board need all the help we
can to be successful and to make the rodeos run
smoothly and efficiently.
Sincerely,
Russ
