2008 Guidelines for TYRA Scholarship Funding 

DEADLINE June 1st, 2008

To be funded Award Money you must:

1)      Scholarship recipients must enroll in any technical, vocational or other school of higher education within one year of their high school graduation or they will forfeit their scholarship.

2)      Turn in course schedule and Thank You letters on or before deadline August 15 to receive first check.

3)      Enter your address and telephone number in some obvious place on the course schedule if not already shown.

4)      A maximum of $500.00 per semester will be awarded.  Money must be used for books, fees, or tuition.

5)      In order for a recipient to receive his/her next scholarship payment, the previous semester must be completed.

6)      Must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.00, for each semester; turn in a copy of his/her grades along with proof of enrollment for the next semester, prior to receiving the next check.

7)      Deadline for documentation of enrollment and grades must be received at Tootie Ilse, 210 CR 421, Hondo TX 78861 by start of following semester or the scholarship payment for that semester will be forfeited.  For a deferment, written request must be submitted to the above address by certified mail prior to the deadlines of that semester.

8)      Scholarship recipients are required to write a Thank You letter to the donors.
